No.19 (Number 19) was inspired by my daughter Janie, whose life was cut short just shy of her 16th birthday. She was a fiercely beautiful young woman whose confidence and energy was contagious. Janie had a way of encouraging the people around her to not fear being themself. Janie is remembered by many for her love of soccer. #19 comes from her soccer jersey; it represents Janie’s individuality and her commitment to her team. The story Janie left us is a reminder to care for yourself and to care for others. My journey with No.19 is an extension of my relationship with Janie. It is a way for me to continue spreading her fierce love.
